Joe Chiusano Leads New Company

'Tis the Season, so they say. It normally signifies a time in the early Winter, near the turn of the year, celebrating the birth of the Christ Child or Yule. In this cigar business, however, " 'Tis the Season" is that period in and around the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association trade show, every year. During this time new companies manifest themselves....sort of the Epiphany but before the Blessed Event....extant companies roll out new sizes to established lines of cigars, new lines, new packaging, new images and "branding." Cigar makers strike out on their own, hoping that years of business relationships will be productive in getting their own cigar out to smokers.
Cigar Weekly has learned this morning, through an e-mailed press release, of the new C & C Cigars, LLC which will be led by veteran Joe Chiusano. His last stop was at his family's company, Cusano Cigars, which he lead following his brother Michael's resignation. To C & C, Chiusano brings cigar industry veterans, Jeff Aronson, Maurice Tisseur, and Shane Hays. Their focus, according to the release, is to provide a value cigar to customers.
C & C will be hand crafting cigar blends that follow their philosophy of providing consistent, high quality cigars at reasonable prices. People love to buy products that are better than the price they paid and stores love to sell to satisfied consumers. Everyone at C & C Cigars has a great passion for the cigar industry. As for the cigars, C & C is introducing two lines, next month in Las Vegas. Both will be manufactured in the Dominican Republic. "C & C LRMD is a Limited Release natural maduro boxed in three sizes. Roll Back is a tray and refill bundle line offered in three sizes and two wrappers. Roll Back will be offered in a creamy Connecticut Shade and rich natural maduro."
