Famous Smoke Shop introduces La Floridita Limited Edition cigars

EASTON, PA -- April 4, 2008 -- Famous Smoke Shop has just announced the release of La Floridita Limited Edition, an exclusive new boutique cigar blended and manufactured in concert with Nestor Plasencia Jr.

Named for the famed La Floridita bar in Havana, Cuba - known as "one of Hemingway's haunts" - the full-flavored La Floridita L.E. follows in the wake of the bestselling La Floridita bundle selection that Famous Smoke Shop re-introduced as a Plasencia-made blend in 2002.

Currently gracing the cover of Famous Smoke Shop's April catalog, La Floridita Limited Edition cigars are handmade at Plasencia's Tabacos de Oriente factory in Danli, Honduras using a robust, medium to full-bodied blend of extra long-aged Nicaraguan and Mexican longfiller, Indonesian binder, and a Brazilian capa. The experience is a bold, earthy, and aromatic smoke laced with sweet 'n spicy elements on a long finish.

"We used a very rare, high grade Brazilian Mata Fina for the wrapper," said Famous Smoke Shop General Manager, Hal Odzic, who worked closely with Nestor on the blend. "The wrappers are dark, oily, and exceptionally smooth in texture," he added. "Wrapper leaf of this quality is set aside for use only on limited quantity cigars."

La Floridita Limited Edition is presented in boxes of 20 cigars and Famous 5-Packs in three sizes: a 7" x 52 Churchill, a 6½" x 54 Toro, and a 5" x 60 Robusto. Suggested retail prices range from $80.00 to $106.00 per box. Famous Smoke Shop prices range from $59.99 to $79.99 per box, and they are including a free 9-cigar sampler and free ground shipping with all box orders during the month of April.
