Puro d'Oro from Davidoff
Cigar Weekly member and manager of the New York Davidoff stores Michael Herklots sends word to the cigar community about Davidoff's newest offering, the Puro d'Oro.
The Davidoff Puro d'Oro has finally arrived. After years and years of experimenting with Dominican-grown wrapper, and several tests via our annual limited edition, we now have a Dominican puro. These gorgeous cigars feature a wrapper that we've been developing for years. Grown in a little-known region called Yamasa in the Dominican Republic, the wrapper is thick and oily, with unique characteristics that undoubtedly add to the unique flavor and experience of these cigars. While many Dominican puros share some of their flavor characteristics, these incredible smokes are unique not only to Dominican puros as a category, but are also "outside of the box" for Davidoff as well. The cigars come uncellophaned in boxes of 25, or in cellophaned 4-packs. Each cigar is finished with a classic pigtail cap, and have replaced the famous Davidoff white label with a simple gold embossed foot band. They're available in 4 sizes.
