DANIA, FL – July 16, 2009 - Through a company press release and electronic correspondence, Cigar Weekly has learned that Alec Bradley Cigars, makers of the Tempus, highly-acclaimed Select Cabinet Reserve, and Maxx cigar selections, have announced the introduction of their new Vice Press cigar series. The cigars will feature a new blend wrapped in a dark, oily Jalalpa wrapper, and will be presented in three box-pressed sizes with extrawide ring gauges: 5 x 64, 6½" x 62, and a 7 x 60 figurado. The company will officially debut the new Vice Press series in New Orleans at the annual International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) trade show next month.

Alec Bradley Cigars is announcing the release, this week of their new Alec Bradley Vice Press Cigar line. Their latest featured item, the Vice Press  shall be presented in three extra-large box-pressed sizes:

6T4 - 5" x 64 Robusto
6T2 - 6½" x 62 Toro
6T - 7" x 60 Torpedo

The blend consists of a diverse combination of Nicaraguan, Honduran and Mexican long-fillers with a double binder consisting of Costa Rican and Colombia tobaccos pressed inside a dark, oily Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper leaf. The smoke is medium-bodied with a creamy texture and dense, robust undertones enhanced by a natural sweetness for which Jalapa Valley wrapper is known.

Originally introduced in 2007 as an addition to the Alec Bradley MAXX series, Vice (whose double entendre name was inspired by its box-pressed shape), was presented in an awe-inspiring chest of 50 cigars with sliding Spanish cedar trays

. "Though the cigars sold very well, the size of the chest proved to be a challenge for display purposes," said company president, Alan Rubin. "So, for the new line, we remodeled it into a beautiful chest like display of 20 making it more convenient for both tobacconists and consumers.

Alec Bradley Cigars will officially debut the new Vice Press cigars in New Orleans at the annual International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) trade show in August. The new Vice boxes will surely attract the attention of the consumers, but it's the flavor and aroma of the new cigars that should attract the most discriminating cigar connoisseurs even more.
